Network Update: Corporate Governance and EU Integration

The Education, Audiovisual and Culture Executive Agency (EACEA) recently organized a Jean Monnet Cluster meeting in Brussels, focusing on Jean Monnet Networks. It gathered coordinators and partners of Networks selected since 2014. The Corporate Governance and EU Integration (CGEUI) network was presented by Pernilla Norlin, Swedish Entrepreneurship Forum and Evgeni Peev, Vienna University of Economics and Business.

Pernilla Norlin: Evgeni Peev, Ph D Vienna University of Economics and Business, you are the coordinator of the project Corporate Governance and European Integration. What happened at the meeting?

- The Jean Monnet Cluster meeting focused on the key themes identified within the different Networks. It was an excellent opportunity to discuss and share the experience on content, impact and dissemination as well as management and cooperation issues between networks and partners.

Pernilla Norlin: And the CGEU network, what is its main purpose?
- The Jean Monnet network Corporate Governance and European Union Integration (CGEUI) aims at: (i) promotion of EU knowledge on corporate governance relevant for young researchers; (ii) expanding EU aspects into the work on corporate governance by network participants; (iii) promoting innovation in teaching and research; and (iv) building knowledge on the European corporate governance integration and promoting it across the world.

- The planned main project outputs are the introduction of new seminars and summer schools on European integration issues, new databases, research papers and a book. The project is expected to benefit young researchers, students, lecturers, EU-level policymakers, and general public (including professionals and civil society representatives).

Pernilla Norlin: Tell me about the workshop you are planning in Stockholm in September? What will you discuss?
