Braunerhjelm on taxes and entrepreneurial activity at Druid 17

Pontus Braunerhjelm, Research Director Swedish Entrepreneurship Forum and Professor Royal Institute of Technology, KTH, is attending one of the world's premier academic conferences on innovation and the dynamics of structural, institutional and geographic change. In his presentation of the paper Taxes, the tax administrative burden and the entrepreneurial life cycle, Braunerhjelm referred to entrepreneurs that often complain about the tax burden, but wondered how damaging taxes are to the overall entrepreneurial activity? As shown by professor Pontus Braunerhjelm and coauthors, a reduction in tax compliance costs by 10 percent would increase entry by up to four percent.
